How to disable cropping, remove blank space and get a good resolution for photo slideshow?

Disable cropping for photo slideshow

In general, Flash Gallery Maker will automatically scale or diminish your pictures in order to have a good visual effect based on aspect ratio of original photos. If you choose "Scale to fit", when the photos have different aspect ratio, all photo content will be showed completely with added background color.

But if you choose "Scale to fill", when you added photos of different aspect ratio to this program and set flash movie size smaller than photo size, Flash Gallery Maker will crop photos according to flash movie size that you have configured.

Thus, in order to disable cropping, you should choose "scale to fit" option by clicking "Preference->Options->Image options".

Remove background or border for photo slideshow and have a good resolution.

Here below is two slideshow examples. The first one slideshow has background and border, whereas the second one has been removed the blank chunk. Both of them are created with the same photos and the slideshow size is also set to be the same.

Choose "Scale to fit" and photos have
different size and aspect ratio

Choose "Scale to fill" and photos have
the same size and aspect ratio

In general, Photo Flash Maker will automatically zoom in or zoom out original photos according to its own aspect ratio. So when publishing the flash slideshow, all photos has a similar aspect ratio with original photos no matter these photos are magnified or downsized based on the flash movie size setting. Thus, in order to remove the background or border of the photo slideshow, you should make sure all photos have the similar or even the same size.

2. Open Photo Flash Maker, click "Preference->Options->Image Options", in the "Image Scale Option" section, select "Scale to fill".

3. "Theme->Advanced->Customize properties-Global" to set movie size, which should be the same or even a bit smaller than the size of original photos.

4. Publish your slideshow to preview your slideshow to see whether it has acheived what you want.

In the above second slideshow, the picture is a bit distorted. If you want to keep the original aspect ratio and remove the slideshow background and border, there is another method without editing photos in graphic software. But this method will crop the picture chunk according to a certain proportion.

1. Modify photo size with Photoshop or Fireworks to make them have the same size.

2. Open Photo Flash Maker, click "Preference->Options->Image Options", in the "Image Scale Option" section, select "Scale to fill".

3. "Theme->Advanced->Customize properties-Global" to set movie size, either of the width or the height of flash movie should be the same or smaller than the minimum width or height of original photos.

4. Publish your slideshow to preview your slideshow to see whether it has acheived what you want.
